The deparment of Hydraulic Engineering at the Engineering Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in the área of extreme hydrological events (e.g. floods and droughts), remote sensing of the enviroment and climate change. The successful candidate will study climate change impacts on wáter resources in and around Mexico with satellite data, atmospheric-hydrologic models and laser-optical disdrometers
Applicants must have a Ph. D. in Civil, Geography, Enviromental or Coastal Engineering, or a closely related field. Experince in remote sensing of the enviroment, data management, and regional atmospheric modeling is highly appreciated.
The appointment will be for one year initially, with continuation contingent progress. The remuneration and benefits are internationally competitive.
